The J41H/Y/F standard gate valve has a cylindrical valve disc as its opening and closing element. The sealing surface is either flat or conical, and the valve disc moves linearly along the centerline of the fluid. Standard gate valves are only suitable for fully open and fully closed applications and are generally not used for flow regulation. However, regulation and throttling are permitted when custom-made.
