This valve is specifically designed for fourth-generation high-temperature gas-cooled reactors (HTGRs) and requires long-term stable operation in a high-temperature, high-pressure, and high-purity helium environment, presenting immense technical challenges. The research and development team overcame key technologies such as special material forming, high-precision sealing, and radiation resistance, achieving internationally advanced performance levels. Previously, nuclear-grade helium isolation valves were entirely dependent on imports; this successful development breaks the foreign technological monopoly, ensures the safety of my country's nuclear power projects, and provides core equipment support for the subsequent commercialization of HTGRs.
